Lodge style ceiling fans – Ceiling Fans – Simply Beautiful

Tip! Besides being a good option for hot days, ceiling fans are also an option for protecting the environment since they do not affect the Ozone Layer as the air conditioner does.

As someone who’s spent a good few years working in the South East Asian region, I don’t think I could ever sleep in a hot room with still air ever again. For me, when it’s hot and humid, the air has to flow or the consequence is an incredibly uncomfortable night. You know what it’s like, you’re sitting on a scorching hot beach dripping under the armpits then all of a sudden a very welcome breeze comes along and gives you instant relief. Ceiling fans, or fans in general, are that outdoor breeze indoors, but the difference is you don’t have to wait for these indoor wafts of air because you have the control at your very fingertips.

A Guide To Ceiling Fans (Minka ceiling fans)

Tip! Some aspects of ceiling fans have been updated over the years. The inventor of the original ceiling fan, Philip Diehl, made a number of improvements on his first model.

Ceiling fans have been around well over a century and are becoming more popular than ever. You probably have one rotating right now; most homes these days have at least one. Part of the reason is the high cost of energy today compared with a few years ago. Not only does a ceiling fan help cut energy costs in the summer, it will help just as much in the winter if you live where the seasons change, by just turning the switch and rotating the fan blades in the opposite direction and most all fans have this feature built in. By moving the air upwards, the warm air circulates more evenly throughout the room. In the summertime, ceiling fans circulate the air in the room creating a slight wind chill effect, resulting in a temperature drop of about four degrees; it can sometimes feel cooler than that, again saving energy.

A Look (Litex ceiling fans) at Tropical Ceiling Fans

Tip! Patio ceiling fans are another important type of ceiling fan, and although generally less common than indoor ceiling fans, patio ceiling fans are considered important in the warmer, moister regions of the world.

There are several differences between tropical ceiling fans and standard ceiling fans. Tropical ceiling fans have wider blades than typical fans. A large number of tropical ceiling fans are made for outdoor use. Tropical ceiling fans look different from normal fans in that they have a more natural, and woody appearance.

Ceiling Fans…Why Use (Antique ceiling fans) Them?

Tip! Maybe you thought that a ceiling fan would be too expensive, or too difficult to install, but that’s a common misconception. Really, ceiling fans are competitively priced with the best freestanding fans, and installing one is about as difficult as putting in a new light fitting.

Fans have been used for centuries to create air-flow and comfort humanity during hot weather. Do you know that if used properly, fans may also comfort during cold weather? It’s true! Hot air rises. This is a fact and an attribute of nature, of which most people are already aware. Of course, during warm/hot weather, we want the hotter air to rise above us. When it’s cool/cold, we want that warmer air closer to the ground, which we habitually occupy. Ceiling fans can help us to maintain this “comfort zone”.
